Industry prices
Pricing gutters and drainage
Gutters are priced by the foot, and most houses run somewhere between a hundred and sixty and two hundred and twenty feet of it.
Or call (626) 990-2809Your request is in.
We are matching it now against roofing contractors working in Industry and the surrounding area.
- Today, usually within the hour. The first contractor calls or texts the number you gave us. ASAP requests go out first.
- Up to three of them, no more. We cap it at three so you can compare without your phone melting.
- They come and look. Estimates are given after somebody has been on the roof, not over the phone.
- You decide, or you do not. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to pay us.
If you do not hear anything today, check your voicemail and spam folder — contractors often call from a mobile number.
These are estimated ranges, not quotes. Compiled from public installed-cost data for California and adjusted for how Industry is built. No contractor is bound by them, and nobody can price a roof they have not stood on.
| Item | Typical range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Seamless aluminium gutter, per foot | $12 – $27 | Most homes run 160 to 220 feet. |
| Ridge and intake ventilation upgrade | $591 – $2,389 | The cheapest thing you can do to make the next roof last its full life. |
| Skylight replacement, each | $1,224 – $3,375 | Cheaper done during a re-roof than on its own afterwards. |
What moves the price
- The number of penetrations: chimneys, skylights, vents, solar mounts
- Warranty tier, which is really a question about who honours it in fifteen years
- Whether the valleys, drip edge and step flashing are being replaced or reused
- Where you land in the season; crews discount when the phone is quiet
- Permit and inspection fees, which vary more between towns than people expect
Locally
Dry offshore wind lifts material that damp coastal air had been holding down. Most wind losses here happen on a handful of nights a year.
Check the fascia before agreeing a price. Hanging new metal off soft wood is a year-long solution.

Questions about price
How long should a roof last here?
An architectural asphalt roof is rated for twenty-five to thirty years and, in this climate, tends to land at the lower end of that. Tile and metal go much further, provided what is underneath them is maintained.
Are the contractors licensed and insured?
Contractors have to give us their state licence number and proof of liability and workers compensation cover before they can receive requests. You should still ask to see current certificates yourself before work starts — a licence can lapse between checks.
What should I do to prepare?
Clear the driveway, protect attic storage from falling dust, and plan for two loud days. Agree in advance where the dumpster goes and who sweeps for nails.
